This update follows President Biden&#8217;s June 18, 2024, announcement aimed at streamlining the visa process for U.S. college graduates. The revised guidance instructs consular officers to favorably consider waiver requests from individuals who have U.S. degrees or credentials for skilled labor, and who seek to work in the U.S. in their field of study. It also outlines that expedite requests for these waivers should be prioritized when they align with significant U.S. public interest, particularly if the applicant&#8217;s employment supports U.S. public interests.
